Our French Travel Itinerary.
May 2 & 3
Our French holiday begins!
Depart GTR Airport @ 5:52 pm, Arrive in ATL, Depart ATL on an over night flight, arrive into CDG on May 3 around 2 pm Paris time. From CDG Airport we take short flight into Nice. Arrival @ 5:20 pm Nice time.
May 3
Arrive at NCE at 5:20 pm Nice time. It’s a 30 or 40 mins transfer to our Hotel in the Village of Eze. Check into our hotel, relax, catch our breath and EAT! Plans for the evening are to take in the views of the French Riviera coast line. After Sunset, it will be high time for a good night’s sleep….waking up to a relaxing breakfast with a view.
May 4
We are to spend 2 nights in the beautiful village of Eze. Today we will wandering through this village taking in the scenic views and village life. If we feel adventurous, we may head into Nice for a few hours.
May 5
A day trip to Monaco and Menton here we come. Just a short drive from Eze. In the afternoon we will check into our hotel at the waters edge for some sand and sea..
May 6
Check out of our sea side lodging around noon. Take a leisure drive 3 hr drive inland to a small village called Goult in the Provence region for one night. Provence is known for its fields of Lavender and quaint hilltop towns.
May 7
Scheduled to check into a country B&B for a 3 night stay, 15 mins from Gordes. Looking forward to visiting the small country villages and going to the local markets in the Luberon area.
May 8
Relax day… take the day one moment at a time. Soaking in the Provence sun by the pool. Dine on some delicious local cuisine.
May 9
Take a day trip to explore the area back to the sea…? We’ll see
May 10
Today we travel to Lyon for a one night stay.
May 11
Leisure morning. Starting with a breakfast at local bakery. Plan to leave Lyon early afternoon …heading for the Loire Valley along the Sein River. Home of the grand Chateaus. We plan to spend 4 nights in this region at country BnB.
May 12
These next days are leisure days. See what our hostess recommends. Likely we will visit some of Grand Châteaus along the river and stroll the spring gardens.
May 13
Taking it one day at a time..enjoying each moment. Most of all so grateful to spend time in this amazing culture and beautiful country.
May 14
Another day of adventure in Tour area in Lorie Valley. “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” Hypocrites
May 15
Drop car off at rental near the train. Catch a train into the City of Light…Paris! Find our relax, browse the neighborhood. Go up the Eiffel Tower in the late afternoon!
May 16
The plan is to walk Champs de Elysee street, go to Laduree for Macarons. Possibly tour the Grand Opera Granier and take a ride in a vintage Citreon seeing the sights of Paris with our guide and driver.
May 17
Today we say Au Revoir to Paris and the beautiful country of France. Need be on our way to the airport around 7:00 am. Our flight leaves CDG at 10:20 am nonstop to ATL and then on to GTR arrives at 4:55 pm
