July 31st - August 2nd

These next several days will be all about relaxing…soaking in the Highland scenery… slow easy days filled with following an inspiration on a whim, wandering the highlands, wildlife spotting or maybe... some wild swimming ;)… Or Maybe we’ll visit Inverness, Balmoral Castle, Fort Smith, or head to a beach town? We shall see…

August 2nd

Today we plan drive an hour or two closer to the west coast of Scotland to our Airbnb for 2 nights which is close to Fort Smith…

August 3

Today we hope to visit and explore the west coast of Scotland to see the dramatic sea cliffs…will we visit the Isle of Skye or another less popular sea view area? Maybe that’s a good question to ask our BnB host..nothing like a locals suggestions and perspective. Another option for today is to watch the Jacobite Steam Train pass over the Glenfinnan Viaduct…say yes to this option Teo would love to see the steam locomotive for sure!

August 4

The time has come to pack up and road trip back to Edinburgh…looking forward to the relaxed scenic drive through the dramatic scenery of Scotland. Oh the stories this land could tell…maybe it will if we just listen. Good chance we will swing by Glencoe Valley on the way…

August 5

The plan today is to explore Edinburgh, shop, taking the Locals recommendation…In the evening we have exciting plans…but first we need to eat an early dinner before we attend the 2024 Scottish Tattoo at Edinburgh Castle!! Yes we will likely need to bundle up in our winter parkas even in August can be a chilly time out about in the evenings…

August 6

Our last day in this beautiful country of Scotland. Maybe today we will visit Roslyn Cathedral and continue to explore Edinburgh trying to find those quiet areas in a busy season..

August 7

Today we say Goodbye for now to Scotland and catch our flight back to Mississippi…

Thank you to everyone we met and that helped us, for the many good memories, and the new friends we’ve made along the way building bridges…(Come To Mississippi)!!!

We are so grateful to have had this opportunity as a little family to spend a little time in this special country of Scotland…Until next time…So Long!

Welcome To All!! We invite you to follow along as we experience/share our travels in Scotland…
